Our story

Granite City Aquaria was created by Amy Jordan after a hobby grew into a passion and she wanted to share our knowledge and passion for bioactive aquariums and enclosures with others. Like most aquarists will say, it started with one aquarium.... That first tank turned into a home fishroom with 105 tanks specializing in breeding guppies, plecos, neocaridina shrimp, corydoras and snails. Amy retired after being a Paramedic for 10 years to become a caregiver to a family member and to work on growing the fish breeding side of Granite City Aquaria.
